Welcome to The Mama Ramblings!
Hello! My name is Tina, and I live in Los Angeles with my supportive husband and inquisitive son.
With a background in early childhood education and having long dreamt of being a mother, I thought I was ready for motherhood! Little did I know what was coming my way…I was unprepared for how helpless I would feel, how tired I would be, and how many questions I would have. But through this experience, I found support from both the online and my local community, I gained knowledge about parenting, and most importantly, I created memories with my child I will cherish forever.
When my son was almost 9 months old, I launched this blog in hopes of sharing my experiences as a mother. My posts are about the trials and tribulations of being a parent, the tools that help me navigate being a mother, the travels we embark on as a family, and the mama ramblings that come to mind as I go throughout my day. I aim to write here as much as possible. But as you know, being a stay at home mom means I am on call 24/7. So, I will try my best to write and respond when my baby is napping. In the meantime, if you enjoy my ramblings, please follow my Instagram feed. I don’t have all the answers but I am willing to search them with you! I’m constantly learning new things about being a parent, so please share with me your experiences!
Prior to obtaining my masters in early childhood education from Teachers College, Columbia University, I completed my human development degree and a concentration in education from University of California, San Diego. Through the years, I’ve taught children ranging from birth to 2nd grade in both private and public settings.
I enjoy traveling, trying out new recipes, reading a good book, sewing, and bargain-hunting. I believe in attachment parenting, play-based learning, early childhood education, breastfeeding, co-sleeping, and babywearing.
